The German–Montenegrin Business Club (DMW) is pleased to announce that, as of February 6, the Board of Directors has officially appointed Michael R. Bader as the new Chairman of the Tourism Committee.
This strategic decision marks an important step in strengthening the Club’s commitment to the sustainable development and international positioning of Montenegro as a competitive tourism destination.
A Recognised Expert Leading the Way
Martin Leberle, President of the German–Montenegrin Business Club, emphasized the significance of this appointment:
“With Michael, we have a regionally known expert in tourism and a true ‘Montenegro Expert’ at the helm of the committee. He will undoubtedly sharpen our profile and support both our Montenegrin and German members in enhancing Montenegro’s image as a high-quality tourism destination. His leadership will contribute to elevating the sector to a new level. Welcome, Michael!”
Mr. Bader brings a combination of international experience, strong local presence, and deep industry knowledge — all crucial elements for developing high-quality tourism initiatives within the Club.
17 Years of On-Site Experience in Montenegro
Reflecting on his new role, Michael R. Bader stated:
“With over 17 years of experience on site in Montenegro, I am looking forward to this new challenge as the Chairman of the Tourism Committee. Improving the reputation and increasing the visibility of Montenegro among Western European tourists, especially Germans, is one of my main priorities.”
As a holder of both German and Montenegrin citizenship, Mr. Bader has a unique understanding of both cultures, business environments, and traveler expectations. This dual perspective allows him to act as a bridge between markets and to design initiatives that resonate with Western European tourists while supporting local partners.
“Together with our team of experts in the Tourism Committee, I am confident we will soon deliver our first positive results,” he added.
