Together with its members and guests, the club discussed key questions for local and international businesses operating in and with Montenegro:

In her keynote address, Central Bank Governor Dr. Irena Radovic emphasized the need for businesses to start preparing now to compete in the EU. A level playing field is essential for competitiveness from the outset. Further digitalization, inclusion, and especially gender equality must improve and become more deeply embedded in society.
German Ambassador Peter Felten highlighted Montenegro’s significant yet untapped economic potential. To attract investors—particularly from Germany—stable and transparent regulations, along with positive long-term perspectives, are crucial.
The following panel explored practical aspects of preparing for EU integration:
Finance Sector – Dr. Zorica Kalezic, Vice-Governor, Central Bank
Learning from EU Experiences – Daniel Bagwitz, Country Director BiH and MNE, GIZ
Customs Procedures, Import and Export – Maja Vučinić, Acting Director, Customs Administration
Tourism – Michael R. Bader, Montenegro Expert
The common message from the panel was clear:
“We can – but we have to speed up and focus.”
The evening continued with lively discussions during a reception hosted by Ambassador Felten at the German Residence.
On behalf of DMW, President Martin Leberle stated:
“Thanks to our high-level speakers and panelists, I am confident that this Impulse session added real value to the business of our members and friends. We will continue with this format to make Montenegro even more visible and attractive for investors, providing know-how and generating jobs and prosperity.”
